Lacey is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a quick smile, warm demeanor and uncanny ability to 'cut the bull' with her clients while keeping them engaged, challenged and feeling at ease. Lacey has worked as a private practitioner, in-home therapist, project coordinator for a federal suicide prevention grant, and volunteer for a local Nashville refuge clinic. She has facilitated intensive outpatient groups using CBT and DBT skills. She specializes in college-age adjustments, young adult issues, suicidal ideation, addiction issues, divorce recovery, anxiety and depression and is currently pursuing training in Eye Movement Desensitization (EMDR), a specialized therapy for treating trauma symptoms.
Lacey believes in resiliency, even in the face of extreme circumstances, and loves helping clients to overcome at times, years of negative life experiences. She has earned the respect of the Nashville counseling community with her dedication, loyalty, and creativity. Lacey's clients appreciate her empathy and humor while she spurs them on to pursue and create the life they have dreamed about but felt was out of reach.
In her free time, Lacey enjoys cooking, reading, hiking and painting. She runs, practices yoga, and volunteers for non-profit organizations. But never fear--although Lacey might seem "too perfect,” you can take comfort in knowing that she had to submit this bio 3 times before it was approved, due to her corny sense of humor.
